LEGISLATION

Carriage of hazardous and noxious liquid substances (HNLS) in bulk should normally follow the IBC code. Offshore support vessels (OSV) may use IMO Res. A.673 (16) as amended. Internationally, the resolution is regulated through MARPOL Annex II.

The GESAMP hazard profile considers the chemicals effect on human healt and marine environment if realed to the environment.
