LEGISLATION

Requirements for the compilation of safety data sheets are regulated in REACH Article 31 and Annex II. Safety Data Sheets are prepared according to EU 2015/830. Classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures is according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).

From 1 June 2017 all chemical products must be labelled accoring to CLP. There are no longer transitional provisions. The corresponding SDS will also need to be updated with the same classification / labelling.

In addition, there are regulations for specific chemical products, e.g. biocides, pesticides and detergents.
